Madeleine's BIG weekend!

Madeleine danced with her ballet group at the Port Macquarie Eisteddfod on Friday, then again on Saturday and then we raced back to Taree for her to perform in a concert to raise money to build a Conservatorium of Music in Taree. The poor little thing waited for HOURS to go on for their 2 min dance (one each day after an hour's drive to get there and then another hour to get home) and then Saturday afternoon (after we had raced back from Port Macq to Wingham to change and then back to Taree)she had to sit and wait for over an hour to go on at the concert at 4:15pm - she was the youngest performer there by at least 6 years! I was so exhausted and I am sure she was too but it didn't phase her. She performed like a seasoned champion and we are oh so proud of our little 7 year old with stars in her eyes! The photos are of her in the dance "Strawberry Kisses" then a traditional clapping dance (red Danish looking outfit) and then she sang "Bippity Boppity Boo" so is dressed as the Fairy Godmother in Cinderella.

Maddy looks just gorgeous Leisa! You must have been exhausted but what a great Mum to do all that running for her - she's very lucky! Enjoy your day off today - relax and do as little as possible!!! xo

Thank you SO much for sharing these! I think my favourite would be the cheeky grin in the Fairy Godmother shot...it is SSSOOOOOO Maddie!! Although she is just as gorgeous in the Strawberry Kisses outfit. Would love to have seen her perform!
Hope you are having a relaxing day today.

Wow you must be so worn out & I bet Maddie was too! I hope the rest of the weekend was less hectic & you both had a chance to put your feet up!

Bet your heart just swelled when watching her on stage Leisa. Beautiful daughter, genes she inherited from her mother.
